Once again, we’re reaching for the box of tissues. Grey’s Anatomy has managed to make us more emotional this season than we could ever imagine.

Since the preview of last night’s episode was revealed last week, showing none other than Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) reuniting with her sister, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), in her dream sequence on the beach as she rests in a coma on a ventilator after getting COVID-19 in real life.

But in true Shonda Rhimes fashion, the episode wouldn’t be complete without a few surprises up her sleeve. What we thought was only going to be a heart-to-heart between the Grey sisters, became so much more than that.

When Lexie visits Meredith on the beach, she brings along none other than McSteamy himself – Mark Sloan (Eric Dane). A surprise that none of us could see coming which made us even more emotional.

After the episode, Dane shared a picture on Instagram of him and Pompeo with the caption: “It was so great to be back with my people. Felt like I’d never left…” Just when we thought they couldn’t tug on our heartstrings even more last night.

No…YOU’RE crying. This episode was just another reminder that we should always keep our guard up when watching this show and we can never expect to know what happens next.

How did you feel seeing McDreamy and Lexie back on the show? Let us know by leaving a reaction down below or tweet us @celebsecrets!
