This won’t be the only time an entertainment figure has been accused of possessing child pornography. In addition to R. Kelly, who is currently up on a plethora of charges regarding the abuse of minors, there was the infamous case of Mark Salling back in 2017, which took the entire fanbase of the series by surprise.
Mark Salling, formerly the star of Glee, reached a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to possessing child pornography. The actor admitted he had images of prepubescent children.
Moreover, the authorities found approximately 50,000 images of child porn on Salling’s computers. Prosecutors and the actor agreed to a sentence of between four and seven years. He would have to register as a sex offender, pay restitution, and also obey certain parameters in terms of where he can live.
According to a report from CNN from the 18th of January, 2018, Mark, who portrayed Puck on Fox’s musical series, Glee, died at the age of 35 from suicide. TMZ reported that Mark died by hanging. The actor climbed a tree and hung himself from it.

TMZ also claimed Salling tried to kill himself by slashing his wrists in August of 2017. However, his lawyer said the reports weren’t true.
