LONDON (CelebrityAccess) – Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett has announced that he will be launching his second live music venue in London. Called Lafayette @ Goods Way, the venue, which is set to open in February 2020, will host a combination of live music performances, club nights and bespoke one-off events.
Lovett previously opened his first live music venue Omeara @ Flat Irons Square in 2016. Lafayette will be larger than Omeara’s 320+ capacity space and will be situated in London’s King’s Cross.
Speaking of the new venture, Lovett said in a press release: “I’m forever committed to pushing forward a new era of music venues that truly elevate people’s expectations of what that experience should be, and I believe London ought to continually strive to be at the forefront of the entertainment industry on a global stage, as the best city in the world.”
He added: “I have had some of my favourite and most memorable experiences in Omeara since it opened back in late 2016, and I truly believe that the experience it has provided both fans and artists is something so important to London’s venue landscape.”
More details on the venue, including the first events to be held there, will be announced soon. The shows will be booked by Communion, which also handles bookings at Omeara. Lovett is a co-founder of Communion Music.
